A height safety system enables workers to access high-risk areas on-site safely and controlled during construction. This minimises the risk of falls on-site, helping to prevent employee injuries
Absolutely. The static lines and anchor points used in Fall Arrest Systems enable workers to securely anchor themselves to the roof to prevent falls.
Managing and controlling the risk factors of a building is the duty of the company manager or owner. All owners and managers are encouraged to become familiar with the Australian Industry Act and regulations concerning working at height procedures.
A certified roofer who has all necessary certifications should be hired if any anchor points or other fall-arrest systems need to be installed. Installing these systems without the required accreditation poses an extreme danger and should never be attempted.
